Site URL with trailing slash

I am having a problem with multiple sites using folder mapping.

The child site can be accessed through http://mainsite.com/foldername/, but when I try http://mainsite.com/foldername, it returns page not found.

I have created a folder, and put an empty Default.aspx page in it physically.

Can anyone shed some light on this. I would need to make the child site work with http://mainsite.com/foldername---NO TRAILING SLASH.

Thanks in advance!

Re: Site URL with trailing slash

I got it resolved by adding a URL Rewrite rule in IIS, but not sure if it's the good way to do it.

Re: Site URL with trailing slash

seems like a reasonable solution to me
