It's great (essential even) to be able to add the unsubscribe token to a newsletter, but it would be really useful to add other tokens as well. The bare minimum would be "Display Name" so that you can write a "Dear xxx" newsletter.  

Beyond that (but maybe a step too far) it would be good to be able to specify custom profile fields - for example some of our clients hold "Firstname" and "Lastname" separately in the user profiles.

Just wondering if this is something that's been considered, or whether I need to roll my sleeves up and do it myself!  I'm not very keen to fork the newsletter code and have to maintain it separately unless I have to...
