Blog comments counter stuck after removing spam

This is a minor issue, but I noticed it so thought I'd ask...

One of my personal sites (www.breconfans.org.uk) got spam comments on blog entries, so I had to go through deleting the comments one by one.  However, when viewing the blog each article still has a number of comments reflecting the spam comments, when in fact it may have none.

I thought this might be caching, but caching is off for the page, and I've waited a few days.

Is this as intended? A bug? Anything I can do to clear them?

(btw I've upped the anti-spam from subkismet to recaptcha, though I find the latter rather ferocious these days!).

mojoPortal Version 2.3.6.4 SqlCe

Operating System Microsoft Windows NT 5.2.3790 Service Pack 2

ASP.NET Info v4.0.30319 Running in Full Trust

Hi Crispin,

I definitely consider that a bug if it does not update correctly when you delete comments from the UI.

Testing with SQL Server it seems to work correctly. I'll log a work item to investigate it in SQL CE, it could be a bug in that data layer.

Joe,

I noticed similar behavior on a client site a few weeks ago; doing an update to the entry seemed to remedy the situation, if IIRC. We've switched the site comment system over to Disqus for now, so I haven't seen it happening any more.

Hi Crispin,

This did turn out to be a bug in the SQL CE data layer. I've updated the 2.3.7.0 SQL CE package with the fix, the only file that changed is mojoPortal.Features.Data.dll.

If you create a comment and then delete it, after updating the dll it should correct the count.
