Is there a way to turn off the option to remember the users password?

In this forum thread from 2008, Joe A. said

If you want to remove the Remember Me from the login page, you can set AllowPersistentLoginCookie to false in Web.config

I have not tried this myself, so please report back if it does not work for you.
