RSSReader fails to open RSS feeds from mojoPortal

  • What version of mojoPortal are you running?
  • What version of .NET do you use?
  • What steps are necessary to reproduce the issue? Compare expected results vs actual results.

RSSReader fails to open RSS feeds from mojoPortal

RSSReader version 1.0.88.0 fails to open any RSS feeds from mojoPortal. I realize RSSReader is a third party program that you have no control over. I get the message "Feed contains an unexpected RSS or Atom version number" when trying to open a feed from mojoPortal. This includes the current ones at: http://www.joeaudette.com/RSS.aspx?pageid=1&mid=4 and http://www.mojoportal.com/RSS.aspx?pageid=2&mid=19 RSSReader can be found at http://www.rssreader.com. I understand that I could use another reader, but wanted you to know of the problem.

Thanks. I'll look into this asap. I must have introduced a problem recently because my feed used to validate at http://feedvalidator.org/ but right now it does not.

this is now fixed in version 20050501 I think. I haven't tested RSSReader but I did fix the problems where the feed was not valid so it shold work now.
