SiteMenu styling changed when site is on test server

SiteMenu styling changed when site is on test server

On my development machine the menu is displayed perfectly. On the test server unrequired extra formatting is being added.

I have checked that SiteMenu is not referenced in the theme.skin file. Where else would this extra formatting be coming from?

In layout.master I have added extra theming settings set to false to try to stop the additional styling from being added:

<portal:SiteMenu id="SiteMenu1" runat="server"
         UseTreeView="false"  HideMenuOnSiteMap="false" EnableTheming="false"
            UseArtisteer="false" UseSuperfish="false"
      Direction="Horizontal" TopLevelOnly="true"></portal:SiteMenu>

 

Using firebug on the test server version of the site the additional styling is visible:

#SiteMenu1_ctl00 a.static {
    padding-left: 0.15em;
    padding-right: 0.15em;
}
 

I am running mojoPortal Version 2.3.4.1 MSSQL

Hi Joe,

I checked out the article you recommend and have seen that:

You could try using TreeView instead of Menu since it also renders as a list and it does not have javascript that applies style.

Had a quick go this morning and it looks like it will work. I have been asked to work on anther project for a few days. I will come back here and let you know how I go when I finish this working on this issue.
