Float Setting

Float Setting

Given the level of complexity some of our designs are expected to display, it would be great to be able to indicate if modules in a given panel are to be stacked top-to-bottom, or side-to-side.  For instance, we may want to include a row of features across the top pane, instead of stacking them down the page.  Just an idea to increase the display flexibility.

Hi,

We have solved this by adding CSS classes named something like "float-left" and "float-right." We then place these in the "Custom CSS Class" of the modules that we want floated. It works quite well and there is no need to make changes in mojoPortal for it to work. Take a look the CodeBox site for an example of this. The "Latest News" and "What Our Clients Say" sections are both in the Center pane.

How clever - I do like that! I was thinking of a setting, rather than having to manually adjust the CSS, because users often don't have that level of CSS savvy, but still want to be able to adjust their layout.
