I need to update that admin page for currency, the only field that matters is the currency code and it must be a valid currency code. What did you enter there?

No it doesn't, as I said I need to remove that, what it does is look up a Culture based on the currency code and then uses that culture for formatting, so the only field that matters is the currency code.

If it doesn't work correctly for Russian currency I'll have to investigate further and come up with a solution in the next release.
