VistaDB Support

Hello,

Have you considered adding support for another cross-platform (Mono & Windows) database called VistaDB:  http://www.vistadb.net/

The database is an inexpensive, royalty-free, lightweight (in size, not functionality) alternative to MS SQL Express and is highly compatible with SQL Server datatypes and syntax.   I am using VistaDB as an embedded database in my own product and would like to use it with Mojo Portal as well.

I am not affiliated with VistaDB in anyway...but it seems to share the same goals for Mono support and their support team has been very responsive.

Hi Matt,

I've heard about VistaDB before, it is an interesting product. Nevertheless, it has no immediate draw for me to put my efforts into developing a data layer for VistaDB. I'm already chock full of ideas on how to spend my time improving mojoPortal for the coming year but if anyone else is interested in developing and maintaining a data layer for it they certainly have my blessing and support.
