Hi there. Both of these options are set in the Image Settings section of the gallery feature instance settings. Keep in mind that the thumbnails are created and the images scaled at the time you upload them, so if you make image size changes to an existing gallery, you will need to re-upload any images already in the gallery before their sizes will change.
