Change Google Map location from code/hyperlink

Change Google Map location from code/hyperlink

I am developing a site for a team competition and would like to have a team directory with a Google map feature, so that when I select a team in the directory, its location is shown on the Google map on the same page - is this possible?

A picture of the layout I would like can be found here:

I would like to change the map location from either a hyperlink on the team name, or from a button in the Map column of the table. Can this be done?

What you want to search for are examples of data bound Google map controls. I did a quick search and found this one that might help you get started.
