You can monitor commits to the repository from this page. We also recommend developers to subscribe to email notifications in the developer forum as occasionally important things are announced.

An Alternative to the AppKeepAlive - free site uptime monitoring

I just updated the documentation for our AppKeepAlive feature to mention a new free service that monitors your site for up time and notifies you if your site goes offline. A side benefit of this service is that it will keep your site awake the same as our AppKeepAlive task would but is a more robust solution.
