A "seems like" cache issue with Main Menu

Hi,

Everything was fine with the Main Menu admin and display which is managed through the section "Add / Edit Pages", until recently (don't know at what point) it started as if Main Menu is being returned from a some kind of local cache. The issue:

1) When a new page is added - it neither shows up in the admin. list nor in the Main Menu itself, but it gets added in the database.

2) When changing page order - no effect is seen either in the admin. list or the Main Menu itself, but the order is actually changed in the database.

Page refreshing works at time if not then after few hours if I go back and check the site then verything looks updated according to the database - no issue !!!.

3) Other admin sections seems to be working fine except for the Main Menu and/or the Add Edit Pages section.

Any idea what might be happening ?

Thanks Joe !

It was the permission issue.

Don't know when and how did this permission issue crept in !

Anyways, thanks for your help !

Anurag

We are having the same issue but the 3rd FAQ doesn't seem to apply any longer.  Were the FAQ's revised since the original post?

Re: A "seems like" cache issue with Main Menu

Oops it seems we lost an FAQ item when we added the fancy jQuery Q and A stuff. Not sure how that happened but I've corrected it and the 3rd item again has the answer.

Thanks for pointing it out.

Best,

Joe
