Validator control and Script Manager problem

Hi ,

I have created a usercontrol to save some settings entered by the user. I wanted to use the Ajax extensions concept and the validator control in my control. So i added the UpdatePanel tag and Content Template tag to my control and i also placed the Required Field Validator . Both are Working well in my local pc, but when i host it on the server it will not work. I also checked the layout master in the server it contains the scriptmanager. I dont know how to rectify it. Anyone please......
