User Profile Configuration data - where is it

User Profile Configuration data - where is it

Hi

I have followed the directions in the article on User Profile Configuration and it works perfect for adding First Name and Last Name.  In fact the code was there (Thanks) I just un-remmed it.

Now I'd like to setup sending more professional emails using this new information.

What database table is this optional information stored in?

Hi Rick, I haven't used this, but my hunch would be mp_userproperties for newly defined custom properties.

However, there is a FirstName and LastName field on mp_users (I'm using MySQL). Since those were already commented out in the configuration file, I have a feeling it may be using these fields on mp_users. If you have a SQL tool that will let you browse the data, that will be the easiest way to find it on your own, or you could just try querying the fields. If that fails, check mp_userproperties for PropertyName='FirstName'.

They were both in mp_users just as you say.  I could have sworn I looked there.  Turned out I was looking at the wrong database.  Time to go for a walk and get some fresh air.crying
