You can see the information here about the effort to get FCKeditor to work in Safari.

I can't imagine users refusing Firefox, its a much better browser all the way around and it works well on the Mac.

Since FCKeditor doesn't yet support Safari, in mojoPortal I've implemented a graceful downgrade to a text area so it is functional, just no WYSIWYG.

If/when FCKeditor comes out with a release that works in Safari I will change it.
