Where do I go to enable/ choose the Features I want to use?

  • What operating system were you running when the bug appeared?
  • What database platform is your site using?
  • What version of mojoPortal are you running?
  • What version of .NET do you use?
  • What steps are necessary to reproduce the issue? Compare expected results vs actual results.

You may also want to review the installation or upgrading documentation.

Where do I go to enable/ choose the Features I want to use?

Hi,

I've downloaded and installed the latest version of mojoPortal but I can't see WHERE I need to go in order to enable features like the Contact Form, Blogs, etc.

I've been through the documentation and also done a search on here but can't find anything. The install worked (I tried re-copying the files and re-running Setup). Setup says the components are installed and if I look under "System Information" it shows all of the components installed but I just can't see how I switch on those I want to use :-(

Apologies in advance if this is a stupid question.

Hi Cliff,

The available features are displayed in the drop-down list from the add content page,

see;    http://www.mojoportal.com/addingcontent.aspx

You sign-in, create a new page, save it and then you will have the option to add content and features.

Ah many thanks Vince.

I ASSUMED there would be a "Features" tab somewhere in "Site Settings" where you could decide which features you want to enable on the Site and then configure them rather than creating a blank page and then deciding which features to add to it.

Hi Cliff, if you happen to work with child sites, there actually is a "features" tab under Administration, Site Settings. This way you can enable/disable features for that child site. For the primary site, however, all features are enabled by default, unless you specifically exclude them via Administration, Feature Installation/Configuration, and check the "Exclude from feature list" box.
