Show Child Pages Site Map?

When I choose "Show Child Pages Site Map?" and I only select only "Include In Site Map?" for the child page, the child page doesn't appear in the Parent page.

But If I also select "Include In Menu?", the child page is visible.

Is is a problem for me because I don't want to see the list of child pages in my menu but only in the parent page.

Can you tell me if I am missing something ?

Thanks,

Romaric

Re: Show Child Pages Site Map?

Hi,

I believe this is by design because the "Child Pages Site Map" is generated by the items that are included in the menu beneath the Parent page.

Do you not want a child page menu at all? If not, I believe you can remove it from your layout.master.

Re: Show Child Pages Site Map?

I need a child page menu except for one section where I plan to have many child pages with long names.

That is why I can't change the layout.master.

Re: Show Child Pages Site Map?

Hi Romaric,

I've created a wish list item in our project tracker to be able to include in child page site map separate from the include in menu setting but I can't promise when we will get to it, there are a lot of higher priorities.

For now what you could do is set the child pages to not show in the menu and then instead of enabling the child pages site map on the parent page, you could add either an Html Content or Links/Simple List module to the parent page and manually create the links to the child pages. Not as convenient but it should achieve the goal.

Best,

Joe

Re: Show Child Pages Site Map?

Thank you for the answer.

That is what I planned to do.
