Hi Joe,
I'm running off of version 2.3.5.3 MSSQL, multi site mode using Site Editor Roles. I've been experimenting with the built in Content Workflow as described on your website (http://www.mojoportal.com/using-the-content-workflow-system.aspx). I've been a bit unclear with setting up my (child) site-wide role permissions in the scope of having a "Draft Editor".
These are my current settings for Draft Editor:
In the Child Site, at the Page level Settings I have a page set as "As Draft" with Security Settings set for the Draft Editor as:
I then stepped through the process of requesting approval of content, accepting the draft (in my Admin role), which published the content but left the Page in Draft mode.
My question is this: Your Content Workflow webpage says the following "When the content on the draft page is submitted for approval, if the editors approve it and the page contains no other draft content then the page will automatically be published by changing the draft flag on the page."
This does not seem to be happening on my web page. I have one block of Content on the page, and went through the steps mentioned above. The page has not automatically changed the draft flag on the page. Am I doing something wrong? Can you please advise?
Thanks!
~ Beth
Another side-note; I read on your Content Workflow page that the Site Editor would be notified by email when content is waiting for approval from the Draft Editor, but when I submitted content for approval in my Draft Editor Role, my Site Editor Role was never emailed. Is there a particular place I need to set this up?
Cheers,
Beth
Hi Beth,
To be honest I'm not sure that related sites mode was ever tested or accounted for when implementing content workflow.
I've made a note in my project tracker to look into it when I get a chance.
Best,
Joe
