How can I show the latest posts in the Forum and the Blog on another page?

How can I show the latest posts in the Forum and the Blog on another page?

On my site (www.kvinnit.se), created with Mojoportal, I have Forum and Blog. I want to show a list of the latest posts in the Forums and the Blogs on the first page.
I would prefer the list of forum posts to contain the ten latest updated threads in all forums with their subject, number of posts and date and time for last post.
For the Blogs I would like one list for each blog, containing the last post in that blog with the date and time for the post, the subject and the beginning of the post.

I am a beginner at this, so I would prefer if the answer is on a beginners level.

You can enable RSS in the forums, then you can put a Feed Manager on the home page and consume the feeds from the blog and the forums.

Sorry I don't have time to help you step by step. I have a to do item to make a video showing how to do this but have not had time yet.

Thanks for your answer. Unfortionally it does not get me any further. The part "put a Feed Manager on the home page and consume the feeds from the blog and the forums" is my problem. I do not know how to:

- put a Feed Manager on the homepage

- Consume feeds

Anyone who can help me?

Hi,

yes, I can. ;-)


Add a Feed Manager Feature to your start page (Edit Page -> Feature: Feed Manager -> Create New Content). Save the Feed Manager Settings. Now click Add Feeds and enter the following (e.g.):

Feed Name: My Feed
Web Site Url: http://www.kvinnit.se
Feed Url: http://www.kvinnit.se/blog1rss.aspx

Save.

That's it. You can now start to configure the settings from Feed Manager Feature to only display excerpts, only 100 characters and so on.
