Form Wizard Pro "From" email address

Joe,

Hope all is well with you. Question/request for you. We've created a form that sends an email to our help desk software, so that the user can open a ticket and it emails them their ticket number. The problem I'm having is that Form Wizard Pro always uses the site's configured email address. Unfortunately this won't work for us as our help desk software creates the ticket based on the email address and then emails that person back with the ticket number. Is there a setting I'm missing somewhere in a config file where I can overwrite this?

Alternatively, if not, is there a way we could implement this on the ascx file? I have a very good .NET dev that works here, so I'm sure he could hack it, but I don't want to do that. Alternatively having the source code (which I'm sure is out of the question) would be the easiest way to modify it if there's no setting.

Essentially I need to spoof the from email address so that it shows it was sent from that email address. Thanks.

Sorry but this is not currently supported in Form Wizard. An email entered by the user is just a text question like any other, Form Wizard doesn't know it is an email address so it has no ability to treat that data with any special handling. Form Wizard Pro is not designed for extensibility with custom code, it does what it does and that is all. Maybe in the future I will add something where a text question can be flagged as an email question and then it might be possible to use it in scenarios such as this. I'll add it in my project tracker as a wish list item.
