multiple sites - host name does not work

hi,

I have created multiple mojo sites on my server. Site 1 works with url: ip/site1/. I have given the url: www.myportal.com to the site 2. But this server is already configured to open another site which is there since long ago (i think due to DNS entry). So when i type www.myportal.com, its opens up the old site rather than opening mojo site2. How do i deal with this problem?

Re: multiple sites - host name does not work

Hi,

You will have to adjust your DNS to point to the correct IP address for the domain name you are using. Further, I am not sure your configuration is going to work because it seems that you have installed mojoPortal in a virtual directory. Regardless of that, you need to have DNS configured properly before your site is going to work.

Thanks,
Joe D.

Re: multiple sites - host name does not work

If you have multiple sites using the same ip address you would also need to to configure IIS host headers so that IIS knows which site is supposed to handle the request.

Hope it helps,
