Can't edit a forum post

After I post a forum entry I can't edit it (I'm using McGee theme). Should I use other theme? Is there a chance the theme doesn't get updated after installing newer version of mojo? Tried with orange theme and does the same

Re: Cam

Hi George,

Site skins do not get updated when upgrading mojoPortal. This is by design as we don't want the installer over-writing any changes that one may make to their skin(s).

If you haven't modified the skins at all, you could copy the contents of the \data\skins directory to \data\sites\[site-id]\skins.

If you have modified the skins, you should refer to the "Important Skin Changes" forum post which details changes to skins in recent releases.

To address your specific problem with the forum. I think you need to add the following the style.config of your skin:

<file cssvpath="/Data/style/forums/style.css" imagebasevpath="/Data/style/forums/">none</file>

HTH,
Joe D.

Re: Can't edit a forum post

btw, I set this thread title to "Cam" by accident. Can't this be changed once posted?

I haven't modified the skins so I'll copy them. Maybe your installer should show warning to user about this (some URL to more info) or have option to overwrite existing skins (could even checksum their files or something to see if they've been changed from last installed version [this may be too complex to implement though, not sure]).

Re: Can't edit a forum post

Thanks, I removed the unused old skins from the site and copied the new ones from the portal (to avoid any issues I kept the current skin folder and have overwritten it - then visited site and had to press F5 to get latest skin changes).

Now I see the edit post button, thanks!

btw, the graformix-orange skin has a curved-border layout problem with IE8 (maybe with other browsers too) when you scroll to the bottom, see:

Re: Cam

adding a new news entry made the skin issue at the bottom to disappear - think it has to do with the 2nd column at the right handside (when its height is smaller than that of the 1st column the issue appears or something)
