Functionality like this would be a good start to a page template system. I have plenty of clients asking for page template features. Although, I would caution that some features should not have their contents "cloned" due to the amount of and type of data they store. The Web Store, Event Calendar, Blog and Forum are features that have a lot of ties to the page they are published on, thus making cloning more difficult. The Event Calendar Pro and Web Store can also have purchasing information so cloning isn't wise with the content of those features unless that data is stripped, I would think.
