Obey Hide This Page From Authenticated Users setting when determining "home page"

Obey Hide This Page From Authenticated Users setting when determining "home page"

I am not sure if this should be a feature request post or a bug fix post.

When the first page has the Hide This Page From Authenticated Users? setting set to true, the page is still shown to authenticated users when they visit the site. Is it possible to apply this setting when determining which page should be the home page for the user?

That is a cosmetic setting not a security setting and not a setting to control the home page for users.

All it is designed to do is not show the page link in the menu if the user is authenticated, nothing more, nothing less. I would not recommend using that setting on the home page of a site.
