How to switch primary web site

  • What version of mojoPortal are you running?

  • What steps are necessary to reproduce the issue? Compare expected results vs actual results.

How to switch primary web site

I've had a few days to go over this product and I'm loving it. Great job!!

I have 3 web sites with 3 separate domains registered and I made the mistake of creating the wrong web site as the primary. Is there any way to make web site 2 the primary "Site 1" ?

hmm maybe I can explain this a bit better. I'm hosted at DiscountASP.Net. Maybe I just need to tell them what my primary domain name is and then ask them to set up domain pointers for the other two. I think I'm still left with issues in mojoPortal though.

 

I guess a complete reinstall wouldn't be that bad and might be the better way to go after I get DiscountASP.Net to make their changes first.

Hi,

There is a flag on the mp_Sites table IsServerAdminSite, if set to true then the site can manage other sites, if set to false it cannot. By default only the first site created has this flag as true, but you could manually change it on another site directly in the db. However the default site will always be the first site, that is if a host name or folder name is used that is not mapped to a specific site, then it will resolve to the default site which is going to be the first site regardless of whether you make another site a server admin site.
