I know it would be a lot of work to convert all the current skins in mojoPortal to this at once, but I think this would be nice to have.  A central folder that had all the common "admin" or other icons that are used throughout the site.  This would save on the number of files and ultimately help with disk space a little.  Also might help keep the skin folders cleaned up a little.  Might still need an option (maybe in the style.config file) for people to override using the central folder in case a specific skin has a special set of icons.

For those that are at all interested, I've kind of cleaned up my skin folders a little.  Within each skin, I have now organized them into folders like the following:

SkinName:
 |- css
   |- [all CSS files for the skin]
 |- images
   |- icons
     |- [the icons used throughout the site]
   |- template
     |- [all the images that are used for this specific skin]
 |- [layout.master, etc]

Nothing urgent, just an idea that I had.
