Issue with Form Wizard Pro in 2.3.4.1 MySQL

Hi Joe, I've discovered a problem with FWP in the latest version from SVN source. Navigating to a page with a form on it is throwing a security exception error. Below is what gets placed in the system log.

Re: Issue with Form Wizard Pro in 2.3.4.1 MySQL

Hi Jamie,

I have the latest code running on demo.mojoportal.com and this site without any issues with Form Wizard. There is certainly nothing in the error to indicate it is specific to a data layer. My best guess is that you have an incorrect version of AjaxControlToolit.dll in your bin folder. Make sure it has a date of 8/21/2008 and file size is 1228KB. At one point we tried a newer version but later had to revert because it caused a bug in Form Wizard Pro, so in your dev environment you may need to delete it from the Web/bin and then when you rebuild it should pull the correct version from the _libs folder.

The only other thing I know of that causes this error is mentioned in this blog post:

http://dbvt.com/blog/post/AspNetHostingPermission-Security-Exception-Fix-with-Ajax-in-IIS7.aspx

Hope it helps,

Joe

Re: Issue with Form Wizard Pro in 2.3.4.1 MySQL

Hi Joe, I didn't figure it was necessarily data specific, but I wanted you to have all potential info at hand. Changing the Load User Profile setting seems to have done the trick.

I also took a look at AjaxControlToolkit.dll, just in case. My copy is 1228 KB, but it's dated 1/6/2010. The version it seems to be pulling during build is in \_libs\ajaxtoolkit35\AjaxControlToolkit.dll. The properties of the DLL show a Product Version of 3.0.20820.0. All of the subdirectories under there are dated 1/6/2010. Am I using the correct version?

Thanks!

Jamie

Re: Issue with Form Wizard Pro in 2.3.4.1 MySQL

Hi Jamie,

Glad it is working. Didn't mean to sound like I was criticizing for telling me you are using MySql, it is always helpful to know as much as possible about the installation, really just meant that it didn't turn out to be a factor in this one.

As long as it is working and the file size is correct, I guess the date could be different on your machine, you are referring to the correct directory for the dll.

Best,

Joe
