Web Platform Install Error

Hello, I am receiving a database password error when trying to install using the MS Web Platform Installer.

Once I get to step two, and try to create the new database using SQL server and default settings, I receive:

Cannot use value '*****' for parameter 'Database Password'. The value must match the regular expression

(REGEX HERE)

It looks like the password is not being decripted and is entering as the actual masked password ***. I tested a couple other CMS installations yesterday, and Mojo was the only one where the problem occured.

Let me know if you need more info.

-Jason

Re: Web Platform Install Error

Hi Jason,

I just tested installing mojoPortal from the web app gallery using the web platform installer, it worked fine for me.

The regular expression is designed to enforce password strength that matches the default for SQLExpress. I used $Secret123 for my password to include at least 1 special char, one upper case, one or more lower case and 1 or more numeric.

Hope it helps,

Joe
