Firstly great to see this feature. I have to suggestions that I think would improve the functionality.

1. When you submit your email address, it would be good to have one of those revolving animations to show its in progress, as the user may not think its working while its submitting and navigate away from the page.
2. If a user submits the same email twice, a notice saying you're already subscribed would be good, as if the newsletter gets sent to their junkmail, they may keep coming back to the site trying to subscribe
3. Could you put the newsletter module in the mojoportal.features.ui project in its own folder? it took me a while to locate the subscribe.ascx file
