Linux (Mono) with MySQL DB

When posting in this forum, please try to provide as many relevant details as possible. Particularly the following:

  • What operating system were you running when the bug appeared?
  • What database platform is your site using?
  • What version of mojoPortal are you running?
  • What version of .NET do you use?
  • What steps are necessary to reproduce the issue? Compare expected results vs actual results.

You may also want to review the installation or upgrading documentation.

Linux (Mono) with MySQL DB

On the Download page --> Hosting/Server Requirements section, MySQL is not listed as a database option for Linux (Apache w/ Mono)

So if I want to install MojoPortal on Linux with mono and MySQL as the database, will it not work?

It can work. Download the pgsql-deploymentfiles-for-mojo.zip then download the MySqlDataLayer.zip, copy the dlls from the MySql package into the /bin folder of the main package and copy the contents of the /Setup folder from the mysql package into the /Setup folder of the main package.
