Maintenance Page

Hello,

Is it possible to point users to a simple maintenance page while work is being done on the site, like upgrading?

I like to take a full backup before upgrading but the backup system my web hosting company has does not work when there is a web.config file so I have to rename this to take a backup which means the site is effectively down.  Is there an easy way to point users to maintenance page instead?

You can create an html page named App_Offline.htm and put it in the root of your site. This is not a mojoportal feature, it is an ASP.NET feature. However, it disables the entire site including the setup page, so you would have to rename it after backup is complete to put your site back online and then run the setup page.
