Allow anonymous users to see authenticated pages in menu

Allow anonymous users to see authenticated pages in menu

I need to display pages (that are viewable by only authenticated users) in the menu for all users. i.e when an anonymous user visits the page, they can see all the pages in the menu control, but when they try to browse a page they are prompted for a login. Is this possible or is there a workaround to get this working?

Hi Joe,

I think a "Authentication Required?" option for page settings may be a nice thing to have. So that when an anunymous user click on a page he/she see the login page and after login redirected to the page.

There is a way to do it, I suppose it could reasonably be called a workaround. I just created a document here explaining the steps.
