Can't manage users

Hello!

I have installed MojoPortal 4 times and it´s has worked great every time.

Now I have installed again on a lab machine and I have got problem with users.
If I click "Manage Users" I get:
"We're sorry but a server error has occurred while trying to process your request.

The error has been logged and will be reviewed by our staff as soon as possible. It is possible that the error was just a momentary hiccup and you may wish to use the back button and try again or go back to the home page."

I get the same if I add a new user, the user creats in the SQL server (MS SQL) but I cant manage it.
Everything else seems to work, edit pages, add pages and som on.

STRANGE - Now I have installed a completely new MojoPortal on another machine and I cant manage users on this one either, but with another error message:

Server Error in '/' Application.
Could not load type 'System.Web.UI.ScriptReferenceBase' from assembly 'System.Web.Extensions, Version=3.5.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=31bf3856ad364e35'

Hi Kent,

Your lab machine is missing the SP1 for .NET 3.5. If you install the service pak it will resolve this issue.

Recently I downloaded the MojoPortal Ver. 2-3-3-4 , after uploading to my host, the mentioned error appear to me. My host service can not install SP1 for .NET framework 3.5 because it directly interfere with  their control panel software.

Also they highly recommend me to resolve this problem by correcting the way my code references AJAX in ASP.NET 3.5.

Do you help me about this issue?

Hi,

It sounds to me like your host needs to take their own advice and resolve the issues they have with .NET 3.5 SP1. mojoPortal requires SP1 and modifying the code to make it work without it is probably close to impossible. There are too many parts of the system that rely on features of SP1. It has been out for over a year so I would expect any host that is worth your time to have it running on their Windows Web Servers.

Personally, I suggest you find a new host that updates their servers on a regular basis. You can check out the Hosting Page for information on hosts that work well with mojoPortal. You could also ask your host if they have Linux Web Servers which support Mono. If so, mojoPortal runs great with Mono so that might solve your problem.

In what way does the mojoPortal code reference AJAX that is incorrect?
