Re: logo space

To change the height of the header in this skin you will need to adjust the height of a few images and change the height of the #wrapheader selector. The images you need to adjust are bg.gif and headerbg.gif. When modifying their height, you should add the desired amount of pixels to the top of the images. After the images are the size you want, you need to set the height of #wrapheader to the same as the height of the headerbg.gif image.

For example, if you want to increase the height of the header by 15px, you should add 15px to the top of each image and then set the height of #wrapheader to 100px (because it is currently 85px).

Re: logo space

I just noticed you will also have to add the same amount of pixels to the height of div.AspNet-Menu-Horiztonal (this selector is in the stylemenu.css file).

Re: logo space

It sounds like you haven't set the following in your user.config file. You must set these keys to false when you are modifying your skin. After you are finished making changes to the skin, you can set them back to true.

<add key="CacheCssOnServer" value="false" />
<add key="CacheCssInBrowser" value="false" />

Re: logo space

Resize what?

You might want to use the FireBug Addon with Firefox. It will help you figure out what css needs to be changed to accomplish what you are trying to do.

Re: logo space

Joe D: I've been reviewing your recommendations for this skin and trying to apply the same theory to the freecsstemplate-level2 skin. How do you increase the size of the red banner at the top? When I run the firebug add-on it tells me that this is div id=wrapheader. I don't see anywhere to increase the px? Am I supposed to copy this red banner into photoshop, extend it and then copy/paste it back?

Also when I try to edit anything, for example: (C:\inetpub\wwwroot\mojoportal\Data\Sites\1\skins\freecsstemplates-level2\stylemenu.css) and I try to save from within Visual Web Developer 2008 Express Edition, I get an error saying that "The operation could not be completed. Access is denied." Any thoughts on this as well?

Thank you in advance for your help.

Regards-

schrammie
