Woopra and multiple sites using sub folders

I tried out Woopra this morning on my setup which has multiple sites using sub folders and had some difficulties.  I searched through the forums and founds this http://www.mojoportal.com/Forums/Thread.aspx?pageid=5&mid=34&ItemID=7&thread=2496&pagenumber=1 and figured you need a beer Joe.  Cheers!

Anyway, I managed to make it all work and it's fantastic what you can get out of it.  I have noticed that it looks like all of the traffic details etc are logged against the parent site.  Can you think of any way that I can configure things to have it (woopra) handle the sub sites correctly?

Cheers, Martin

Re: Woopra and multiple sites using sub folders

Hi,

First, thanks for the beer! Much appreciated.

I'm afraid that with folder sites since it is really the same domain for all sub sites, from woopra's point of view it is all 1 site.

I'm not sure if woopra has any way to create segments for real time tracking, I know in google analytics there are ways of segmenting sites based on url segments so that you could have analytics reports for each segment. I can't tell you details how to do it as I'm not really a google analytics expert but I know enough about it that I'm sure it can be done. Maybe there is something similar in woopra. I just stopped using woopra because its out of beta and no longer free for sites that get a lot of traffic (I think 30,000 page views/month is all you can track for free but this site is pushing 200,000 per month).

Hope it helps,

Joe

Re: Woopra and multiple sites using sub folders

Thanks Joe, I'lll have another go at setting up the multiple sites with hostnames and see how I go.  Have you done it before using plesk and shared IP addresses?  It'll take me a long time to get over 30,000 hits a month :)

PS. Forgot to mention last time, I've used a few CMS products (including DNN, joomla, tandemserver, etc) and mojo wins hands down.

Cheers
