Mono 1.1.16 AND its extended ASP.NET 2 implementation AND xsp2 problems

Mono 1.1.16 is out and mp trunk can't be executed with xsp2 anymore. Instead of xsp2 I (must) run mp trunk now with xsp (not xsp2).

Well, apart from that the new version got a lot of performance improvements and especially (and the most important) the ASP.NET 2 implementation supports more stuff now. I had problems to compile branch 2.x of mp with monodevelop and also on the command line with "make". I don't know which 2.x branch isn't so pretentious and will run with a non-completed ASP.NET 2 implementation.

Hi Alexander,

I saw the release notes for mono and noticed it says they got the ASP.NET Personal Web Site Starter kit for 2.0 working so it gives me hope but I'm sure there are still issues for mojoportal. I tried mono from svn last week and had some errors with some of my web.config stuff, I commented those out and then it wouldn't load the assembly I compiled on windows. I'm going to try again this weekend with the latest mono svn.

I don't really see any benefit of running trunk under xsp2

branches/2.1 corresponds to the most recent release but the MD project I'm sure is not up to date with the latest files and unless you have updated the make file I'm sure it is out of sync with the solution (.sln file, and .csproj files)

Anything you can do to help update the make file for 2.1 would be great.

The new 2.x dev branch is branches/2.1.1 but probably best for now to just try with 2.1
