Curious about mojoPortal MVC

Hi!

I'm curious about new, experimental MVC stuff.

Do you intend to completely migrate mojoPortal to MVC one day (when MVC gets implemented by Mono team, perhaps?) or have two versions, Web Forms and MVC?

Re: Curious about mojoPortal MVC

Hi Slaven,

Its just exploratory for now to see if I can even come up with a reasonable strategy for possibly moving to the MVC model in the long run. While it seems very daunting at first look I have some ideas about a strategy that I want to at least evaluate.

Since I am going to re-write SiteOffice using YUI anyway, I may try to do that using MVC. I may also consider re-doing just the site admin pages in MVC.

Nothing is really decided and I would not expect to see rapid progress in this direction but I am attracted to the MVC way of doing things so I needed to create the mvc project to have a way to explore it further as time permits.

Best,

Joe

Re: Curious about mojoPortal MVC

As far as I understand MVC is open source and Mono is already including it. In fact its possible that MVC is less buggy than Mono WebForms.
