Setup on shared host

I am currently setting up a site on  Ubiquity but I have run into a few different problems.  Working through the file permissions has been a pain, but at this point, after the initial tests have passed, the setup page is giving me the following error:

Welcome to mojoPortal Setup
Probing system...
An Error Occurred:Invalid parameter

Stack Trace at System.IO.File.SetLastWriteTime (System.String path, DateTime lastWriteTime) [0x00000] at System.IO.File.SetLastWriteTimeUtc (System.String path, DateTime lastWriteTimeUtc) [0x00000] at mojoPortal.Web.mojoSetup.TouchTestFile (System.String pathToFile) [0x00000] at mojoPortal.Web.mojoSetup.TouchTestFile () [0x00000] at mojoPortal.Web.mojoSetup.DataFolderIsWritable () [0x00000] at mojoPortal.Web.UI.Pages.SetupHome.ProbeSystem () [0x00000] at mojoPortal.Web.UI.Pages.SetupHome.Page_Load (System.Object sender, System.EventArgs e) [0x00000] at System.Web.UI.Control.OnLoad (System.EventArgs e) [0x00000] at System.Web.UI.Control.LoadRecursive () [0x00000] at System.Web.UI.Page.ProcessLoad () [0x00000] at System.Web.UI.Page.ProcessPostData () [0x00000] at System.Web.UI.Page.InternalProcessRequest () [0x00000] at System.Web.UI.Page.ProcessRequest (System.Web.HttpContext context) [0x00000]

I am using the medium trust config,  but I am stuck.

Any pointers/help would be great,

  Zak

Re: Setup on shared host

I've seen that error before in older versions of Mono, you don't mention what version they have. I'm afraid my opinion is that Mono is still too buggy for shared hosting, thats why there are so few hosts offering it.

Best,

Joe

Re: Setup on shared host

Version of mono is 2.4, I hope that I will be able to get this working since they are super cheap, but if not I know I can go with grokthis since I have had great succes with them before.  Honestly the only reason I went with Ubiquity, was because the person I am doing the site for questioned even paying $7 a month.  (Arrgh)

Thanks for the response Joe,

  Zak
