Need help to decide CMS

Hello Sir,

We currently have a proprietary CMS that manages content. We are currently running all this under the .NET Framework and Windows 2003/2008

We are currently looking into a CMS that can help us with:

Must Have

· Article creation, management, and versioning

· Event Calendars

· Business Directories

· Blogs

· RSS, Sharing (Facebook, Digg, Twitter, MySpace, etc), Email and Printing modules

· Skinning (to match our current site)

Like to Have

· API for integrating articles and functionality in other ways

· Forums

· Storefront (though we have a license to AspDotNet storefront

We are interested in something that we can layer on top of what we already have, to add things like our “Featured Story” spots, Health Experts, Blogs and Forums.

We are planning to use MojoPortal. Before that we need to reconfirm whether all the above functionality is possible in MojoPortal.

Your help is really appriciated.

Regards,

Shaista Shaikh

Re: Need help to decide CMS

Hello Sir,

You should try out mojoPortal on the demo site (or install it locally) and read the documentation and/or source code to make your own determination of whether it meets the needs of your project.

I hope a lot of people find it useful, if you determine it meets your needs then use it, if you find something else that meets your needs better then use that.

I've been working on mojoPortal for 5 years, making constant improvements, giving my product away and my source code and documentation. If you think I have time to review your requirements and give you a personal sales pitch you are mistaken, I'm far too busy working on improving it. I'm a developer not a salesman. You list some bullet points that I could put a check next to but whether it meets your specific needs depends on the details behind those bullet point requirements.

Best,

Joe
