This may sound quite bizarre at first but stick with me

I need to make a products section, most could be done through the blog module ie creating posts that are product details and then creating a category to put them in.

When a user clicks on a post/product i'd like to display a gallery as well as the writeup that has a selection of products from that section, inother words, i'd like to put a gallery onto a post, and share the gallery with other posts.

Is there something already available that could do this? Just wanted to check before i start attempting to create my first module.

I really like the power of the blog module, i've used the blog module as a news section, and put the latest news on the homepage as a rss feed.

I can achieve what i need with a flash gallery that uses xml to dynamically pass in the pictures on the viewcategory.aspx page, and just pass in the current category, which will select the correct xml file.

I currently have 4 flash animations similar that dispaly images based on a xml file. I hope to make a feature that will update the xml, or generate the xml documents without having to edit them directly, or even better store them in a db and some how spit out the xml from there when requested. Their very nice! Maybe its all very specific to my own project but thought you might be interested to see what i'm up to (or you might think what on earth!! hahaha)
