System.MissingFieldException: Field 'mojoPortal.Web.BlogUI.BlogModule.updBlog' not found

openSUSE 10.3 and 11.1
Mono 2.4 (official Novell Repo)
MySQL
mojoPortal  2.3.0.1

On a clean install of MojoPortal on either openSUSE 10.3 or 11.1 using MySQL, when I add a new Blog to a site, I get this exception:

Please try mojoPortal 2.3.0.4, use the mojoportal-2-3-0-4-pgsqlreleasefiles-for-mono.zip and the mojoportal-2-3-0-4-mysqldatalayer.zip.

I think maybe you kept your old Web.config file. You should use the new one.

I've tried to copy the Web.config from mojoportal-2-3-0-4-b-pgsql-deploymentfiles-for-mono.zip into the root directory of the mojo web application.

I still get the same error.

It seems to work now. The older version of mojoportal (2.3.0.1) contained some DLLs in the bin-folder which are no longer present in the new version (2.3.0.4).

So I removed all files from the bin folder and copied the ones from the zip of the new version. Now, in the bin folder only the files of the new mojo version exist.

Hi,

Unfortunately there are some bugs in Mono. I get the same problems using the latest Mono built from svn. It seems anywhere we use an UpdatePanel, it throws these null references on buttons inside the panel. This happened before and was fixed so it seems a regression. I have reported it to my friend Marek on the mono team so hopefully it will be fixed in the next mono release.
