Unsure if someone has mentioned this before, so I'm sorry if someone already suggested something along these lines:

Currently, in order to add a module to a page, you need to have edit rights to that entire page.  In my circumstance at least, an additional level of granularity would be awesome.  What I mean is, there's currently   |left|    |   Center   |      |right|    content holders on a page.  It would be awesome if I could give, for example, content authors access to adding a new module to the center block, without giving them the ability to add stuff to the left and right blocks.

Is there a plan for anything along these lines?  Or is there a fairly easy way to do this already, and I've missed it?
