Users names changing disallowed, but still working

Hi Joe,

I think, I might found a bug. After a while trying to set up Windows Live ID authentication with Microsoft support even if my domain is forbidden because it contains Microsoft's trademark, I finally gave up and decided to allow standard mojoPortal registrations. As my site is supposed to be community site, I don't really need my users to be able to change their names, so I left that option in administration unchecked. However, users are still able to change their names and for example act under these names in the forums or elsewhere. Is this a bug or m I missing something somewhere? Thank you for your time.

Re: Users names changing disallowed, but still working

Hi,

The feature actually works as it was designed to but the bug is that it is not labelled correctly. It really prevents the user from changing the login name which is now labelled User ID (but still labeled as username on the member list). The admin can still change a users login name/userid but a user cannot.

I will fix the label, sorry for the confusion.

Best,

Joe
