Store and URL manager

I had an old copy of the webstore on my site, the one that was a test? I just got through uploading the latest version and now I am having two problems the first is the store is still their, but will not work right. When I go to delete it and start over it comes back with this: http://fundamentalists.whybaptist.com/Setup/Default.aspx

It will not let me delete this page although I have deleted the contents already. The second thing is on the administration page I no longer have a URL manager? Sorry to be the bringer of trouble, but HELP! Thanks for your help I really appreciate it.

Re: Store and URL manager

The link for Url manager has been moved. You should see a link for Advanced Tools, click that and you'll see the link for Url Manager. Url Manager has been moved their becuase most people should never have to mess with Url Manager.

If your WebStore installation is having errors, it may redirect you to home. Look in the system log for errors that might give a clue about the problem.

Maybe clear the log first then cause the error to make it easier to find it in the log.

Hope it helps,

Joe

Re: Store and URL manager

I just figured out myself the answer to one of the questions I found the URL manager, but I get a message that the core
database core schema needs upgrade. I have contacted David, that should take care of it. If it does not then I will get back to you.

Re: Store and URL manager

If its telling you it needs to upgrade but its not upgrading for you, then it most likely means the needed upgrade scripts are not there, otherwise it would find them and run them. Maybe you got some ftp errors when uploading and not all the files made it. I would upload the /Setup folder again and then visit the /Setup/Default.aspx page again. You said you uploaded the new version of WebStore, I hope you also upgraded the main mojoportal because the WebStore upgrade depends on it.

See my notes about upgrading here:

Hope it helps,

Joe

Re: Store and URL manager

This is what the page says when I click on the store page the part that I noticed was what is in bold: Welcome to mojoPortal Setup
Probing system...
File system permissions ok.
MSSQL database connection ok.
database permissions are sufficient to alter schema.
database initial schema already exists.
database core schema needs upgrade.
1 site(s) found.
Note: This page shows some information that is helpful during setup and upgrades but for security it would be best not to show any information when the system is up to date. You can disable setup and suppress all information on this page by setting DisableSetup=true in Web.config. When you need to upgrade, you can set this back to false. If you are logged in as Administrator setup will run and you will be able to see this page even if it is disabled in Web.config so you can easily leave it disabled and just login before upgrading. But if you are not logged in you will need to enable setup in Web.config.

Re: Store and URL manager

As I said, you are most likely missing some of the files. Upload everything again to be sure, then visit the setup page again.

The setup page is telling the truth, the core of mojoportal needs to be upgraded. If all the files were there it would proceed with the upgrade but some are apparently missing.

Re: Store and URL manager

Now the first set of problems is solved, what you said solved the problem. I now have another problem, this one is with the Feature Instance Settings box. The Web Store Settings box is not high enough to show where the settings are located. Of course that is a very necessary part of the page. The other two tabs are showing what is in them, it is just the one for Web Store Settings.

Re: Store and URL manager

Hi Thomas,

Is not that the box is hiding the settings, its that there are no settings for it to display. Store settings are configured under Store Manager > Store Settings. Its a little different than most other features.

Best,

Joe
