Detailed CMS Feature Comparison (inc mojoPortal)

Hi Joe,

I've just come across an excellent CMS comparison which includes pretty much all of the major .net based CMS/Portal systems. I wasn't sure if you already knew about it or not, it was published at the end of last year? I didn't want to post the link as I'm not sure what the forum rules are?

I know which one you are talking about. I have it around here somewhere printed out. Another place for grid style CMS comparisons is cmsmatrix.org.

I'm not sure these grids are a great way to compare CMS systems. I think they have "some" value, but a checkbox indicating the presence of a feature doesn't really tell the whole story. Many CMSs have similar feature sets but some have better implementations than others of specific features. "better" may also mean different things to different people, feature richness, ease of use, ease of customization, all these things may have different value to different users of a CMS. These grids don't show the nuance.

Hi Joe,

Yeah they're not great, but if you were looking for a CMS and you looked at the comparison and saw that mojoPortal had more green sections than most of the other free CMS/Portals, it'd certainly send their interest in the right direction! which is always good ;o)
