I'm asking if it is possible to ensure that during registration, if a user checks a checkbox, an email is sent to the administrators.

this is the case if a user chooses to be a member or not of an association or to subscribe only to the site. or even make sure that, if a checkbox is checked, other fields are required to be filled in to then issue the card to the member.
