Upgrade to Analytics integration?

Hey, Joe. We were asked to begin tracking clicks on internal PDF links. When we went to investigate, we found that in order to do this properly, we should be using the current gtag.js, rather than analytics.js.

Just wanted to find out if this change is on the radar for mojoPortal core?

Thanks!
Jamie

Re: Upgrade to Analytics integration?

Hey Jamie,

Definitely!

We've been pretty good about updating mojoPortal but we've been positively lousy at publishing official releases.

Right now, we have a lot of updates to the MSSQL version that we need to port to the other DBs and then test it all. Hopefully we can make that happen this fall.

Thanks,
Joe

Re: Upgrade to Analytics integration?

Thanks for the update, Joe! I did a bit more research, and I'd like to switch us over to using Google Tag Manager, rather than directly using Analytics. Tag Manager will let us do all of the analytics reporting setup from the Google side, rather than needing to modify the injected code on the site/skin side.

Hello all,

You will find a new release on GitHub. We haven't created a blog post yet. Please let us know if you run into trouble.

Thank you,
Joe Davis
