ForceSingleSessionPerUser does not work as documented

ForceSingleSessionPerUser="true" in web.config results in a currently authenticated user's session becoming invalid, when a different user subsequently logs in from another location. Has anyone else experienced this behaviour?

  1. User 1 logs in from Computer A.
  2. User 2 logs in from Computer B.
  3. User 1 is prompted to log in.
  4. User 1 logs in.

  5. User 2 is prompted to log in.

  6. User 2 logs in.

  7. User 1 is prompted to log in.

  8. User 1 logs in.

  9. User 2 is prompted to log in.

  10. User 2 logs in.

  11. ...
