mojoportal-2600-mssql at Go Daddy

Hi,

I thought I'd search the installation forum for tips or work arounds for the installation of mojoportal-2600-mssql at Go Daddy.  I will ensure the hosting account is set for full trust and that the /Data folder and /App_Data folder are completely writable.  Should I expect any glitches?  How do I find the latest posts about installation at Go Daddy?

Hi,

I'm not aware of any issues with running mojoPortal at GoDaddy. You should be able to run it like it's any other host.

If you would like hosting from people that really know mojoPortal, check us out.

Thanks,
Joe

Re: mojoportal-2600-mssql at Go Daddy

Thanks for your response. I was able to install v2.6 on Go Daddy. I created an empty MS SQL db, set the site to asp.net 4.7 and full trust, disabled the site, edited the connection string in user.config, ftp'd the files then set the Data directory and all child folders and files to full control (using the advanced button from the directory listing in the file editor). I enabled the site and used my web browser to open /default.aspx.

I would use your hosting except I'm doing this for my sister's organization and thought long term Go Daddy would be better support for a her.

I tried a half dozen other CMS looking for a better solution and have returned to Mojo. The interface is easier to use than most. Being able to inject my own css file in style.config and use html fragments makes it easier to use also.

Thanks!
